After that, Mr. Krakoff showed us something he was particularly proud of: the up and coming Razer Mako speakers. Developed by Razer alongside THX, the Mako speaker system is a revolution in high fidelity audio playback. We don’t remember the conversation we had with Robert about the technology very well, but we know it has something to do with the elimination of the “desk effect” and sounds totally amazing. In fact, the only reason we don’t remember our conversation we had is that we were ushered into a closed room a few minutes later and given a live demo of the Mako speakers in action. Besides being gamers, most of GotFrag Hardware’s staff are either musicians, music lovers, or just all-around audiophiles. We have heard some of the best music played on some of the best equipment available, so we know what sounds good and what doesn’t. With this in mind, it should hold some sort of merit when we say that from our quick demo of the Razer Mako speakers, we can honestly say that they produce the most amazingly crisp, clear, and excellent sound we have ever heard.

The last thing Razer showed us at the booth is something that many of you may find very interesting. In the near future, Razer will be reintroducing the Boomslang, the legendary mouse that started Razer’s rise to the top tier in gaming peripherals. The 10,000 Special Edition Boomslangs will be constructed partially of metal and will use the same optical engine that the DeathAdder uses.
