Elder Scrolls: Oblivion




It seems the higher texture and pixel fill rates of the 7950GT KO gives it the advantage over Diamond’s X1950PRO here at the lower resolutions. However as we change up and use HDR, we can see that ATI’s HDR implementation seems to perform better in Oblivion than NVIDIA’s as the X1950PRO closes the gap but doesn’t quite catch the 7950GT KO. We conclude this from the narrowing of the performance gap after HDR is used. Before using HDR, the 7950GT on average was 18.5 percent faster than the X1950Pro. However when using HDR that gap drops to 10 percent.
