Hardware/Software: Operating System: Windows XP Pro Monitor: 19" Viewsonic CRT Motherboard: Abit KN8 Ultra Processor: AMD 3500+ RAM: 1G Kingston Hyper-X Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT Hard Drive: 190GB Maxtor Peripherals: Keyboard: Logitech Elite Mouse: Microsoft 3.0 explorer Mousepad: Steelpad 5L Headphones: Plantronics Gamecom Pro1 The History The first computer I ever touched was from a LAN center.. so I'm not sure of the specs exactly, but the first comp I ever purchased for myself was a Shuttle with an Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz processor and an NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT video card. I got introduced to gaming by one of my close friends. He discovered Counter-Strike and took me to a LAN center, and that's where it all began. Unfortunately, my friend didn't continue playing like I did. The computer I use today is a custom tower built by my friend. The computer parts that I purchased were suggested by my friend when I told him my price range. My peripherals were chosen by comfortability. I always liked hard surface mousepads but wanted to try cloth. When the [SteelPad] 5L came out, I knew I had to try it. I started using the 5L when it first came out and I still haven't changed mousepads since. For headphones I always loved Plantronics so when the upgraded version of DSPs came out, I got them. Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 is the mouse I always preferred. I tried a few different ones, but I always ended up returning to my 3.0. I was using the Microsoft Multimedia keyboard until recently the arm rest broke, so I had to get a new keyboard. I chose the Logitech Elite since it was pretty similar, except it was USB so if I use a laptop in the future it will come in handy. I would like to give a shoutout to my team #pandemic and my boys at #sealteam. - Thank you community members for your submissions and look out for the next issue - it may be you to get chosen to be featured with the pros!
