Conclusion Razer really steps away from what has become their typical design and created a mouse that really answers all the questions everyone but their fans have been asking. Its ergonomic shape ventures from Razer’s norm and provides a nice comfortable grip for hours of continuous gaming. The drivers are solid with all the features and customization you could ask for. All the buttons feel well constructed and have just the right tension to provide ease of use, but a strong tactile feedback that exudes confidence. A lightweight mouse with large feet decreases friction as low as it can go. However, if you are a fan of heavier mice, you might want to look elsewhere. One nice feature that could be implemented in v2 of the DeathAdder is the ability to customize the weight via a cartridge and small discs (i.e. Logitech G5). Today’s heavy gamers and PC users demand 5 buttons at minimum and Razer meets that and does it well with nice large side buttons. If you aren’t into flashy looking mice and blue LEDs, then open up the drivers and, quite simply, turn them off. Offering everything you could ask for and more, the Razer DeathAdder is quite honestly the best choice in the gaming mouse arena. It doesn’t get better than the Razer DeathAdder. Editor’s Note: While I am a huge fan of this mouse and it is a perfect match for me, one must keep in mind that a mouse, much like every other PC peripheral is a very personal thing. What one man deems a fantastic fit for his style of grip and gameplay may be entirely uncomfortable for the next guy. This is my humble opinion after extensive analysis. What I can say is that if you are a right-handed gamer and enjoy mouse shapes such as the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer, Microsoft/Razer Habu, and the Logitech G5 and MX518 then you will probably love this mouse. EDIT: The Logitech G and MX series are slightly larger. Fans of these series have said this mouse is too small. Mice, like other peripherals, are a world of personal preferences. + Outstanding accuracy and consistency in tracking precision and sensitivity. + Well designed right-handed ergonomics. + Controllable LEDs. + Large, tactile buttons. + Excellent frictionless glide. + Complete, well developed drivers. Cons - No weight cartridge. Rating 9.9 out of 10 Editor's Pick - Gaming Mouse
