The History

I remember that my first computer that I got somewhere around 10-15 years ago was a 75MHz Intel Pentium, but I never really used it much except for the occasional gaming, because I preferred playing consoles BY FAR (Nintendos, Playstation, played especially the NHL-series and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1& 2).... And by far I mean I didn't probably touch a computer for +5 years up until I believe 2000(?) when our parents bought me and my brother a new enough computer to play new games (NOLF, Hitman 47!). That was back then we didn't have ADSL though, and I didn't really care because I was only playing single player games anyways. However, when we finally got an ADSL in October(?) 2001, my brother (naSu) started playing CS and eventually I started as well which forced us to first upgrade our computer and then finally in January 2003 to buy ourselves two different computers, which is when I guess you could say we started playing CS actively.

Apart from the video card, I bought this computer in January 2005 and ever since then I have had it completely untouched, as it still maintains 100FPS in CS 1.6, which is all I really need. I use the Logitech MX510 because I've used a MX5** series mouse since 2002, and cord holder, padsurfers and mouse pad from SteelSeries because I have used them for ages and they're what I'm used to. I've tried almost every mouse pad on the market and used a QcK+ since 2005, until I upgraded to the QcK heavy version last fall, simply because it’s thicker and therefore better at LANs where the tables tend to be uneven. For headset, I use a Sennheiser PC166 USB which is my personal preference. Besides that, I just try to keep my setup as universal as possible, trying to use settings that I can use anywhere else (a lot of small things such as removing mouse acceleration with -noforce commands instead of mousefix.reg, forcing monitor refresh rate with the -freq command instead of third party program such as reforce or refreshlock, and not using any drivers for my peripherals).

I've been thinking about getting the Antec 900 for a while now, after seeing it with everything inside I'm pretty convinced to go get myself one now.

#8, this was my very first time building a computer, so I'm sure you can do better with the cabling. I also have +2 more 120mm fans than stock, so you're cabling will be much cleaner than mine.
