Hardcore overclocking demands serious cooling. We let'er rip with the newest CPU cooler from ZALMAN, made specifically for compact cases on the market today. ![]()
ZALMAN is known for their interesting and high performing coolers for processors, video cards, chipsets and a variety of other products. Today we'll be reviewing the newest addition to the ZALMAN family designed with the mATX case in mind. Up until the advent of the Intel P35/G33 chipset, the mATX crowd hasn't seen much overclocking respect due to the lack of quality hardware in the D-I-Y market. This has been changing and ZALMAN yet again provides one hell of a product designed to keep up with the monster overclocks that the Intel Core 2 Duo processor has been known for. This will be the first in a long line of mATX CPU coolers on the market, so from here on out we'll be reviewing more mATX cases and more low profile CPU coolers because our readers demand it. That being said, the goal of this review is to supply you with as much information as possible about the cooling performance of the ZALMAN CNPS8700 versus the stock CPU cooler. We understand this may come as a disappointment to our readers, but that's why we're letting you know that more is coming down the pipeline, since we're into doing critical reviews and not advertisements like some so-called review sites on the net.
