One of the first articles I wrote for FPSLabs, back then it was GotFrag Hardware, was a piece about cleaning your computer to help it run more efficiently. For years, Dust-Off has built a business creating products to help you complete this very task. The most recognizable of their product line is their compressed air. However, it wasn’t too long ago that Dust-Off became very interested in the realm of eSports and competitive gaming. In 2006, they attended the WCG US Final in Las Vegas as a sponsor. It was here that they noticed a trend amongst the gamers: We all carry our equipment like hobos holding on to the last of their valuable possessions. They saw gamers with headphones, mice, and keyboards piled up in their arms with MP3 players in their pockets; some with various methods of transporting this equipment from shopping bags, backpacks too small for keyboards, and even original product packaging. That’s right, some gamers were just putting their keyboards back in the box and taping it up. It would be effective if that was all they had to carry, but being picky gamers, they have all the peripherals they are used to playing on.

Dust-Off thought to themselves that there had to be a better way. Over several months, they brainstormed on ideas for the design and worked alongside Dust-Off-sponsored Team X3O to create the ultimate LAN bag. Eventually they incorporated other useful features like a media player pocket, cell phone holder, and places for Dust-Off compressed air and personal accessories. Following the announcement of the product on Monday, the Dust-Off Quiver is the official bag of Team USA in the WCG Grand Final and the official bag of Team X3O.

Anyway, enough of the back story, let’s see what this thing looks like.

Packaging & First Impressions
Well, I hate to disappoint, but I haven’t actually seen the packaging. I actually received the world’s only prototype about a month ago, so it actually just came crammed inside a FedEx box. At first glance, it was actually quite impressive. Not too flashy, it was dressed in black with a bit of blue trim and Team X3O’s logo embroidered on the front. Unfortunately, because this was a pre-production unit, I was not allowed to use the pictures I took of it. All pictures found in this review were provided by Dust-Off of the final product. Taking a look around the bag, I found that it had everything necessary to get my gear to a LAN. Looks count for very few things in life, so I started to load it up with my gear to see if it would actually function.
