FPSLabs Home: Dust-Off Quiver Review

Function
Over the weeks that I had this, I had several of my friends pack up their gear and come over to my house. However, before they did so, I dropped off the Quiver to see how they liked it. Not one of them had a single complaint and it was more than adequate to carry their peripherals. I actually used it myself on a trip to New York and I can honestly say that I have no complaints about its function. In fact, I carried multiple mice, two headsets, a keyboard, and a number of other things inside including a Nintedo DS, a Zune, and ,at one point, I even strapped my laptop inside. It handled everything with ease.  Another thing I must note is that the media player pocket is barely large enough to hold devices such as the iPod Video or the Zune.  Those of you that use a PSP or other large device for music will not be able to use this pocket for those devices.

Value
Dust-Off is asking a steep price for all this quality, comfort, and convenience. The Quiver will run you $69.95 and I have to say that it is overpriced. Will you get your money’s worth out of the purchase? Yes, because you will never need to buy another bag like this. Are there other lower-priced solutions? Yes, but none will protect your gear as safely. For instance, there are case carriers that you can strap your keyboard and headphones to, but they are exposed and free to bang around all over the place as opposed to being securely tucked away in the quiver.

Conclusion
All in all, this is a high quality product and excels at its purpose in both form and function. The only thing I can say is that they could do with a fairer price, as I am sure the manufacturing costs are not so high that $70 is the lowest they could go. The production quality of the Quiver is top of the line. Most cheap LAN bags offer no padding at all, the fabric tears, and the zippers break easily. The Quiver is built of high quality materials and offers great padding like many of today's major back pack brands. The Quiver is an essential part of any LAN gamer’s arsenal. If you are a big LAN party attendee or a competitive gamer at any level, you will love using the Quiver for its comfort and the protection it offers for the expensive gear you worked hard to buy.
