FPSLabs is on the ground in Japan for the 2007 Tokyo Game Show. There will be tons of cool new gadgets and gizmos for us to take pictures of. Join us, won't you?

I write to you from approximately 37,000 feet and 2 hours outside of Tokyo. It has been a strange week, but I managed to make my flight and spend an awesome 13 hours cooped up in this tin can. Luckily, I brought along some quality reading and the gentleman to my right is a professional sleeper who only woke for food. Some of you may know I have quite a bit of travel under my belt and have had the pleasure of seeing much of the world. However, other than a brief trip to Malaysia, Asia as a whole as eluded my grasp. This will be my first trip to Japan and it will definitely be one for the record books. My esteemed colleague and fellow Japan first timer, Michael Antebi, GotFrag DPAD’s Editor in Chief, will be joining me.

Our flights land roughly around the same time and we should be at our hotel by about 5PM Tokyo time (4AM EDT, 3AM CDT, 1AM PDT). The plan for this evening is to simply eat, adjust, and go out and see Tokyo at night! We then will rise early and spend our first day at the 2007 Tokyo Games Show. Needless to say, as we will both be wide-eyed and excited, there will be plenty of pictures and video of Japan, cute Japanese girls, and, most importantly, the hardware and games. Mike has brought along two cameras and a camcorder so we intend to bring you quite a bit of content. Tomorrow will be our first day at the show and you can expect to hear all sorts of exciting news from us. For more information on the show, Mike has written a thorough preview over on DPAD, and the official show website can be found here.

For now I must say sayonara and stay tuned for coverage of this year’s Tokyo Games Show.
