Walking around the show floor at E For All resulted in some positively fascinating discoveries!

There can be no debate that E For All is nowhere near the size of E3. Being a smaller show, there are fewer companies, fewer attendees, fewer booth babes, and a lot less industry buzz. Most disappointingly for us, however, is that when fewer companies attend there are not as many innovative products to see. Going to these trade shows is a way for us to catch a glimpse at the cutting edge of technology or seeing what’s next – it keeps writing about computer hardware interesting. Consequently, E For All was not necessarily a show that revamped our interest in the hardware space (not that it needed revamping). Despite the probable interpretation of all the aforementioned items being inherently negative, there is actually one very good result that can only happen if things are they way they were: a personal touch.

We have been to several much larger and more important trade shows across the world, but at E For All we were given an unprecedented level of attention by each of the companies we talked to. The vast majority of the hardware manufacturers in attendance this year talked to us one on one about their products and plans for the future. In contrast, at a show like CES where seemingly 40 million bajillion people are roaming the show floor, the attention that companies give you is probably more like, “hey, here’s a press kit, nice to meet you” – and that’s if you’re lucky. Maybe the coolest aspect of this is how you can get thorough product demonstrations from these companies without even having to ask. Our stop at TN GAMES’ booth to try out the 3rd Space FPS Vest was amazing, because as we were wearing the vest, no less than three very knowledgeable representatives of the company were standing by to answer any questions we had. We saw the same kind of hospitality from many of the exhibitors at E For All. Here is a look at some of the things we saw on the show floor.
